RESOLUTION NO. 83-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, REQUESTING THE
PALM BEACH LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION TO REFRAIN
FROM TAtfING ACTION THAT WOULD AMEND THE
CURRENT TAXING D!ST%ICT THAT PROVIDES SUPPORT
FOR BETHESDA HOSPITAL
WHEREAS, the current Bethesda Hospital Taxing District
provides for a regional base for public taxpayer support of the
Hospital; and
WHEREAS, Bethesda Hospital provides a basic level of
service for the entire region, a level of service that is
public responsibility; and
WHEREAS, all portions of the region have a responsibility
for basic hospital service without regard to direct service
delivery to any particular segment of the region.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Recommends that the Legislative Delegation
refrain from taking any action that would reduce the boundaries
of the current taxing district that supports Bethesda Hospital
since regional support of the Hospital is in the public interest
of the entire region.
