82-QQQQA RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING
AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE
LIBRARY SERVICE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
CITYOF BOYi~TON BEACH AND PALM BEACH
COUNTY.
NOW, T~REFORE, BE AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CiTY OF BOY~TON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of
Boynton Beach, Florida, the Library Service Agreement between
the City of Boynton Beach and Palm Beach County.

LIBRARY SERVICE AGREE.~'FENT
I~E~LS, pursuant to Special Act of the Legislature~ Palm
BeachCoun,.y~ has established a taxing district for the purpose of
prowlding a free, public library system, and
i~E~iER. F~%S, the libra~.7' distric~ boundaries are defined as those
areas of the County that are not already taxed for library purposes,
and
W~4EREAS, the Board of County. Comn~ssioners ¢,=~ Palm Beach
County wishes to make municipal ]_ibrary services available to
taxing district residents and in return, provide municipal residents
with services available from the library district, and
~vLmR~AS, the City Council of Boynton Beach
..... =~ to participate mn and support a Palm Beach County Cooperat]ive
Library System by making its facilities available to Library Taxing
District residents and in return receiving services from the
cooperative system, and

5. The County agrees to extend use of its 16mm film collection
to the City Library and t:o individuals from that city and will seek
the participation of the 'Co~raittee" in previewing and selecting films.
6. The County agrees to negotiate the best possible discount for
books and processing in which all members may participate.
7. The County agrees to provide cogrier service to the City at
an appropriate level, decided by the "Conm~ittae'
8~ The City agrees to maintain an accurate record of 15brary
district residents that are registered with the City for use of its
library.

10. The term of this Agreement shall be from tine date and year
first above written.~ through September 30, 1983. Thereafter, this
