A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, ADOPTING
THE RACQUET CENTER MEMBERSHIP AND FEE
SCHEDULE FOR THE CONGRESS AVENUE COMMUNITY
PARK OF BOYI~TON BEACH, A MUNICIPAL RACQUET
CENTER.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida, is placing in operation the Congress Avenue Community
Park of Boynton Beach, a Municipal Racquet Center with eight
lighted tennis courts; and
WHEREAS, after study and review, the City Manager of
said City has recommended to the City Council that a Fee and
Membership System as set forth hereinafter be adopted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT THE FEE AND MEMBERSHIP SYSTEM AS SET FORTH
IN APPENDIX A IS ADOPTED.

APPENDIX A
REGISTRATION FOR MEMBERSHIP
1. Memberships shall be valid for one year running from October 1st of
the current year to September 30th'of the following year.
2. Memberships must be renewed each year, in person at the tennis
center.

Memberships shall be pro-rated on a six-month basis. Memberships
issued between April 1st and September 30th shall be one-half the
annual membership fee.
4. Residency shall be evidenced by voter's registration card, utility
bills, car registration, and such.
5. Membership cards shall be issued each year to verify memberships
for Tennis Court Attendants.
6. Application and payment of membership fees shall be made at the
tennis center only.
7. Members belonging to the Racquet Center will also be entitled to
membership at the existing Tennis Center.

MEMBERSHIP ISSUANCE PROCEDURES
VERIFICATION OF RESIDENCY
Before issuing a resident membership, proof of residency must be received.
Applicants must live within the corporate limits of the City o__fBoynton
Beach.
Upon establishment of the type of membershi~ ~to be issued, the following
procedures shall be followed:
1. Complete the application form in full, making sure to circle the
amount of money received.
2. Complete the membership card, making sure to stamp the back of the
card.
3. Give the applicant a receipt and Rules Sheet..
4. Advise the new member to have the card in his pqssession when
registering for court assignment or when registering for programs.
5. Advise new members that memberships expire September 30th of
each year.
Family membership application forms must list all names of the
family and all membership card numbers, as each family member will
receive a separate card. Family memberships will include husband,
wife, and children 17 years of age and under residing with them.
7. Junior memberships are for youth 17 years old and under; however,
high school students who have reached the age of 18 shall also
- be considered Juniors.
8. A~ter the transaction is completed,'the ~plication form is to
be filed alphabetically and the membership number and name to which
it was issued is to be listed on the "Numerical Cross-Index Membership
List."

All memberships issued between'April 1st and September 30th will

Ail members belonging to the Racquet Center shall also Be entitled
to membership at~he existing Tennis Center.
NE~ERSH!PS FOR CITY E~&PLOYEES
'City. employees, classified and non-classified, regardless of residency
status, shall be entitled to a resident membership. Employment status
shall be verified through the Personnel Office.
