82-GGGA RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, DESIGNATING THE
CITY'S REPRESENTATIVE TO THE METROPOLITAN
PLANNING ORGANIZATION AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Planning Organization was
established pursuant to Florida Statute 334-215; and
WHEREAS, the Governor has allocated the MPO voting
membership to include the five County Commissioners, two members
from the City of West Palm Beach, one member each from Boca Raton
Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, Lake Worth and Riviera Beach; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to carry
out the MPO activities in a cooperative manner.
WOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ~EREBY RESOLVED THAT THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOY,TON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Designates
to be the member representing Boynton Beach for a two year term
as indicated by the applicable Sections of the Florida Statute
334-215.
Section 2. That this designated representative send a
letter to the Metropolitan Planning Organization indicating
an available member of Council
as the alternate representative who will serve in his absence.
