I~/tKAS, it has come to the attention of the City Council of the City
of Boynton Beach, that the Florida Power and Light is seeking a further rate
increase for providing electrical services;
WHL~, Florida Power and Light provides electrical services for the
citizens of the City of Boynton Beach;
t~K~AS, City Council of the City of Boynton Beach feels that it is
their duty to represent the citizens of the City; and
~REAS, City Council of the City of Boynton Beach does not feel that
the rate increas~as requested by Florida Power and Light are .warm, anted;
N~, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, that:
Section 1.
That the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach would like to voice
its opposition to the proposed rate increases requested by Florida Power and
Light Company and request that the Public Service Commission consider the
objections voiced by the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach.
Section 2.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to send a certified copy of this
resolution to the members of the Florida Public Service Co~,rdssion as well
as the members of the Legislative Delegation of Palm Beach County.
Section 3.
This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage.
