A RESOLUTION OF THE. CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, REQUESTING THAT THE
PALM BEACH COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
SHARE IN THE COST OF THE INSTALLATION OF A
TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT THE INTERSECTION OF SOUTH
SEACREST BOULEVARD AND SOUTHWEST 26TH AVENUE AT
BETHESDA MEMORIAL HOSPITAL.
WHEREAS, increasing traffic flow zs being experienced on
South Seacrest Boulevard causing traffic hazards at the main
entrance to Bethesda Memorial Hospital; and
WHEREAS, an increasing amount of traffic in this area is
"Emergency" hospital traffic from throughout the County and its
many ambulance and emergency service areas~ and
WHEREAS, Bethesda Memorial Hospital, 'by law, serves area
of the County beyond the limits of Boynton Beach; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida, is desirous of responding to and supporting residents
from throughout the County in their requests to eliminate the
hazards at this intersection and insure the safety of citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Palm Beach. County Board of County
Commissioners agree to share equally with the City of Boynton Beac
in the cost of the installation of a traffic signal at the inter-
section of South Seacrest Boulevard and Southwest 26th Avenue.
Section 2. That the City Clerk is direCted to furnish
a certified copy of this Resolution to the Palm Beach County Board
of County COmmissioners and the Palm Beach County Engineering
Department, Traffic Division.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediatel.
