A RESOLUTION OF THE CIT~ COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, REQUESTING THAT
THE PALM BEACH COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COM-
MISSIONERS PLACE HIGHEST PRIORITY ON THE
INSTALLATION OF A TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT THE INTER-
SECTION OF NORTH CONGRESS AVENUE ~ND 22ND AVENUE
PURSUANT TO PREVIOUS CONTRACT IN EFFECT RELATIVE
TO THE RECONSTRUCTION AND WIDENING OF CONGRESS
AVENUE.
WHEREAS, increasing traffic flow is being experienced
on North Congress Avenue and 22nd Avenue causing traffic con-
gestion and a hazardous intersection; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida, is desirous of responding to and supporting community
residents in their requests to eliminate the hazard at this inter-
section and insure the safety of our citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:

Commissioners place the installation of the traffic signal at

highest priority to be completed e×peditiously in accordance with
the Contract to reconstruct and widen Congress Avenue
Section 2. That the City Clerk is directed to
furnish a certified copy of this Resolution to Palm Beach County
Board of County Commissioners and Palm Beach County Engineering
Department, Traffic Division.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its passage°
