81-TTT SOLUTION A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, STATING THE MILLAGE RATE TO BE LEVIED AGAINST PROPERTY OWNERs WITHIN THE CITY FOR THE 1981 - 19821FISCAL YEAR; FURTHER STATING THE PERCENT BY WHICH THE MILLAGE RATE EXCEEDS THE ROLLED BACK RATE (AS DEFINED BY FLORIDA STATUTES SECTION 200.065 (2)) PROVIDING THAT THE CITY MANAGER SHALL HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO ADJUST THE MILLAGE R~TE UPON'RECEIPT OF THE FINAL TAX ROLL; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE' DkTE AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES, WHEREAS, Florida Statutes Section 200.065(2) (d) requires that prior to the ad®ption of the final budget that a resolution stating the millage rate proposed by the municipality be passed; and WHEREAS, said resolution must also state the percent of increase in property taxes adopted by the governing body; and WHEREAS, said millage rate must be adopted separately and before the budget of the community; and WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, has followed the procedures as outlined in Florida Statutes Section 200.065; and WHEREAS, Florida Statutes Section 200.065(5) provides for a ministerial adjustment of the millage rate after receipt of the final tax roll. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT 2ESJOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby adopts ~,S'~ ~ mills as the official millage rate of the City for th~ 1981 - 1982 fiscal year. Section 2. That in accordance with Florida Statutes Section 200.065, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby states that said millage exceeds the rolled back rate as defined by Florida Statutes Section 200.065 by ~, ~ percent. -1- Section 3. That upon receipt of the final tax roll if ~aid roll indicates that the certified taxable value within the district has decreased from the original tax roll presented to the City by the property appraiser's off,ce, that the City Manager shall within three (3) days make the ministerial adjustment to the millage rate to assure that the same amount of taxes shall be collected by the City. Said adjustment shall be reported to the property appraiser within three tax roll. Section 4. This Resolution upon its passage. 1981.
