81-LLA RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, OPPOSING
THE WITHDRAWAL OF THE CITY OF BOCA RATON
FROM THE SOUTHEASTERN PALM BEACH CODNTY
HOSPITAL DISTRICT.
WX~EREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the City
ouncil of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, that the City of
$oca Raton is attempting to withdraw from the Southeastern Palm
Beach County Hospital District; and
WHEREAS, this action would seriously disrupt the function of
:he Southeastern Palm Beach County Hospital District, its activitie~
plans, and its ability to serve this portion of Palm Beach
Eounty; and
WHEREAS, the residents af the City of Boca Raton initially
~pproved by referendum, the creation of the Hospital District and
:he subsequent bonding obligations incurred by said District in
ood faith for the expansion of its facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida, on behalf of the residents and citizens of the City of
'nton Beach, Florida, now wishes to express its opposition to
action by the City of Boca Raton.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
IlTY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Boynton Beac]
lorida, hereby formally expresses its opposition to the withdrawal
Df the City of Boom Raton from the Southeastern Palm Beach County
~ospital District.
Section 2: That the City Council of Boynton Beach, Florida,
;trongly supports the continuation of the current make up of the
Eoutheastern Palm Beach County Hospital District, so that it can
:ontinue to have a strong base of support on which it cmn plan to
~ontinue its valuable services to the District.

Iislative Delegation and to all other appropriate public officia2
~nd agencies.
