A R~SOLIrfION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AtrrHORIZING
AND DIRECTING THE SOUTH CENTRAL REGIONAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT
AND DISPOSAL BOARD, REPRESENTING THE CITIES OF DELRAY BEACH,
FLORIDA AND BOYNTON ~EACH, FLORIDA,,AS GRANTEES, TO ~IAKE
APPLICATION FOR A STEP III GRANT FORFEDERALASSISTANCE UNDER
PUBLIC LAW -92-S00 CONSTRUCTION GRANTS PROGRA~I - EPA PROJECT
NO. C-120406050.
I~HEREAS, THE SOUTH CENTRAL REGIONAL WASTEWATER TREATblENT AND
DISPOSAL BOARD, representing the Cities of Delray Beach, Florida and
Boynton Beach, Florida, as Grantees, being represented by the SOUTH
CENTRAL REGIONAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT AND DISPOSAL BOARD, have entered
into an engineering contract for the expansion of the existing South Central
Regional Wastewater Treatment and Disposal Plant from 12 MGD to 24 MGD; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach, Florida does hereby designate
the South Central Regional Wastewater Treatment and Disposal Board to act as
their representatives to file the Step III Application and all forms and
letters required; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary and advisable to seek federal
assistance and/or State assistance for such expansion;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida as follows:
SECTION I. The City of Boynton Beach, Florida hereby authorizes the
South Central Regional Wastewater Treatment and Disposal Board to
make appli'cation to the United States Environmental Protection Agency
for a Step III Grant under the Wastewater Construction Grants Program,
Public Law 92-500, for the expansion of the existing South Central
Regional Wastewater Treatment and Disposal Plant from 12 MGD to 24 MGD.
SECTION II. That Edward F. Harmening, Chairman of the Board, is
hereby designated as the Board Representative under said application
and authorized to execute the appliaction itself and all forms, letters,
certificates and documents as the Environmental Protection Agency
may reasonably request in connection with the grmut application.
