CITY OF BOYIqTON~ACH, FL0~IDA, S~PPORTING
THE CELEBRATION EOR THE SAFE RE~UP~ OF
OUR, AMERICANS
WHEREAS, the Americans held captive for 444 days have
been Safely returned; and
WHEREAS, a Resolution was approved by the Senate and
House of Representatives and signed by the President of the
United States declaring January 29, 1981, as "A Day of
Thanksgiving" to honor our safely returned hostages.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE
MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYS~0N BEACH, FLORIDA:
To wholeheartedly support the declaration of the
President of the United States in recognition of the hope,
honor, faith and courage of these Americans, and encourage our
citizens to participate in the services in places of their own
choosing as already called for by churches, synagogues and
mosques across the country.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 3rd day of February, 1981.
