80-BRESOLUTION NO. 80-B
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
TO MAKE APPLICATION FOR LOCAL PLANNING ASSISTANC~
FUNDS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINN%NG JULY 1, 1980.
WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach has recognized a
need to provide for orderly growth and management as contemplated
by the passage of the Florida Local Governmen% Comprehensive
Planning Act of 1975; and
WHEREAS, the HUD 70i Comprehensive Plannmng Assistance
Program administered by the Department of Community Affairs
provides funds to assist localities ix meeting requmrements of
this Act by preparing comprehensive plans, updating existing plans
and preparmng plan mmplementation mechanisms.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, does hereby request the
Department of Community Affairs to consider including the City of
Boynton Beach in its application to the U.,S. Department of Housing
and Urban Development for local planning assistance funds for the
fiscal year beglnnmng July 1, 1980.
