A I~ESOLUTION OF TI_~ CITY COUNCIL OF 'THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH~
FLO~IDA DESiGNATING~ THE SPEED Li~iT ON COt~GREo~ AVENUE FROM
LAKE IDA ROAD NOFfEWARD TO GOLF RoA~ (S~W. ~3aO AVENUE), AS
A ~On~U~ SPEED LL~ffT OF ~5 ~LES PER HOUR.
Wi~2AEAS~ the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, has
the power to set speed zones after investigation determines that the speed
]~m~t to be set is reasonable; and
WHEREAS, the City Co~ucil of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, has
after investigation determined that a speed limit of 45 miles per hour on
Congress Avenue from Lake Ida Road northward to Golf Road (S.W. 23rd Avenue)
is reasonable and necessary for the welfare of the citizens of the City of
Boynton Beach, Florida.
NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF T~ CITY OF
~DYETON ~ACH:
Section l: That prior resolution or resolutions designating lawful
speed limits for the areas herein are hereby rescinded.
Section 2: That the speed limit on Congress Avenue from Lake Ida Road
northward to Golf Road (S.W. 23rd Avenue) shall be a maxim~ speed limit of
45 miles _Der hour, and hereby authorize the posting of speed limit signs
denoting the lawful maximum speeds.
