WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach,
~lorida, has elected to create a Comm~anity Relations Board and has
~ppointed members to said Board; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed essential that guidelines be
~stablished for.the purpose and function of said Board;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
ITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section t: That the City of Boynton Beach, Florida,
!ommunity Relations Board is hereby created and established, which
2ommittee shall consist of as many members as the City Council may
[rom time-to-time, in its discretion, appoint with said appointed
~ommittee members to serve at the pleasure of the City Council.
%s soon as possible after the appointment of said committee members
~he member.s shall meet, organize and elect one (1) of their members
2hairman, and another of their members as Secretary to serve for
~uch terms as the committee shall determine.
Section 2: The purpose of said committee shall be to con-
~uct a continuing investigation into problems confronting the
nunlczpality and recommending to the City Council action to
L!leviate or control such problems and, in general, to provide
:itizen input to the elected members of the City Council for the
purpose of effecting improvement of the health, safety and welfare
9f the citizens of said municipality. Said Board is to provide
.nput regarding citizens requiring housing and rent subsidies.
Section 3: Said Comm~unity Relations Board shall meet a%
~he call of the Chairman, or any three (3) members thereof to
~ndertake any matters deemed essential for consideration by the
~oard, and the committee may make formal recommendatmons to the
~ity Council after thorough investigatzon and Consideration of any
~uc~ matters.
