RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AWA R~ OF SECTION I PART A: LIFT
STATIONS AND PART B; FORC~ MAINS, ENVIRON1V~NTAL PROTECTION
AGENCY Pi~OJECT NO. C-120496020, OF THE WASTEWATER FACILITIES
FOR REGIONAL POLLUTION COI~rROL FOR BOYN~roN BEACH, FLORIDA,
SUBJECT TO RECEIPT OF APPROVAL FROM THE STATE OF FLORIDA
DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATION AND THE UNITED
STAT~S ENVIRON-MENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY.
WITEREAS, on July il, 1978, the City Council of the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida, received bid proposals for the construction of Regional
iift stalions and force mains; and
WHEREAS, five (5) responsive bids were received for Section I,
EPA Project No. 120496020, relalingto lift stations and force mains; and
WHEREAS, the apparent low bidder combination was a bid of
$4, 745, 995.00 in a completion time of 365 calendar days as follows:
Section I - Part A - Intercounty Construction Corp. $1, 972, 000. 00
Section I - Part B - Paul N. Howard Cm. 2, 773~ 995.00
TOTAL $4, 745, 995. 00
WHEREAS, the City Council of Boyn~on Beach, Florida,
is desirous of awarding the bid to Intercouniy Construction Corporation of
Florida for Section ~ - Part A and Sect[on I - Part B to Paul N. Howard
Company, subject iD the necessary approval from the State of Florida
Department of Envkronmental Regulalion and the United States Environmental
Protection Agency;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE iT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
BOYNTON BEACH, PALM BEACI~ COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the award of
Section I - Part A lift siations and Seclion I - Part B force mains, EPA
Project No. 120496020, of the ~'~/astewater Facilities for Regional Pollution
Control, is made to Intercounty Construction Corporation of Florida for
Section I - Part A and to Paul N. Howard Company of North Carolina for
Section I - Part B in the total amount of $4, 745, 995.00 subject to receipt
of approval from the State of Florida Department of Environmental
Regulation and the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
