A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CiTY OF
~OyNTON BEACH, FLORIDA DESIGNATING THE SPEED LIMIT
ON NEW BOYNT0N RoAD (SR-80~4) FROM CONGRESS AVENUE
TO 1-95 (SRO9), A DISTANCE OF .1.08 MILES +, AS
A~MAXIMUM SPEED LIMIT OF 40 MILES PER HOUr.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida, has %he power to set speed zones after investigation
determines that the speed limit to be set is reasonable; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach~
Florida, has after investigation determined that a speed limit o~ ~
40 miles per hour on New Boynton Road (SR-804) from Congress
Avenue to 1-95 (SR-9), a distance of 1.08 miles +~ is reasonable
and necessary for the welfare of the citizens of the City of
Boynton Beach, Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH:
Section t: That prior resolution or resolutions
designating lawful speed limits for the areas herein are hereby
rescinded.
Section 2:
(SR-804) from Congress Avenue to 1-95 (SR-9)
1.08 miles ~ shall be a maximum speed limit
That the speed limit on New Boynton Road
for a distance of
of 40 miles per hour,
and hereby authorize the posting of
the lawful maximum speeds.
