REPEALIi~G ALL CONFLICTING 0RDi~TANCES.
!~V~ER~AS, A condition exists which is not in aaaord with the
proper and necessary regulations for the construction of Roof and
Roofing of homes sad buildings of all kinds ~nd nature and,
~REAS, the following requirements are hereto added to the
building code, and
NOW THEREFOR, BE IT ORDAIN~ Bi- T~ C0~NCiL 0F T~ CITY OF
B0~Z!~TON BEACH:
SECTION 24-A. (1) All intersections of roof with Vertical surfaces
of every nat~e shall be flashed with copper or galvanized metal.
(2)4Intersections where the roof forms a valley
braking the straight slope of the roof said valley or gulley shall be
flashed at least 7 inches on both sides of said valley.
(3) ~1 roof eves shall be provided with metal
eve drips (or gravel stop),
(4) Ail pipes passing t~_rough the roof shall be
flashed 6 ~uches from center of said pip~o
(~) The City Building inspector be, a~_d he is
hereby greeted the authority to and is charged with the duty of
enforcing the terms and provisions of this ord~mance, ~hich shall be
subject to final approval and inspection of the City's Building Inspector.
(6) That upon the conviction of any parson~ firm
or corporavion of the violation hereof such person~ firm or ¢orporatidn
shall be p~Luished by a fine not to exceed the su~ of Five H~u~dred
(~ ~00,00) Dollars or inkoriso~snt for a period of not more th~
Thirty (30) days in the City Jail or by both such fine ~ud inpriso~uento
(7~ Ail ordinances or parts of ordins_nces in
conflict herewith be ~nd the same are hereby repealed.
