W~AS due to the geo~aphic~ location of the City of
Boynton severe tropical h~ric~es frequently occ~ which
endanger life and property within the City and
~E~EAS~ it is dete_mmned by the City Co~cil t~t metal
roofing~ she=thug and siding constitute a~hazzard to life
and property d~ing a tropical h~rican and
~W~AS~ it is dete~ined by the City Co~cil that it
is necessary for the public health~ safety and welfare to
re~ate the use ~d installation of metal roofs~ siding~
and sheath~g on bu_ldmngs with~ the Cm,y of Boston Beach
and
~C~AS T~E exists a grave emergency affecting the
public health and safety in the City of Boston Beach ~d it
is necessary for the ~ediate preservation of the public
health ~ safety that an ordnance be enacted as follows:

Section 1. Henceforth it shall be -~awf~ for any Der-
son~ firm or corporation.to install or use on any bulldog
in the City of Boynton Beach metaI roofing~ sheathing or sid-
ing without first showing to the City Building Inspector a
copy of the manufacturers' specifications on the proper method
for said installation and it will be the duty of such person
to install such roofing~ sheathing or,siding in accordance
with stated specifications ~nich shall be subject to final ap-
proval and i~spection of the City's building inspector.
Section 2. The City Building Inspector bey ~nd he is
hereby granted the authority to ar~ is charg~ with the duty
of enforcing the terms and provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. That boon the conviction of any person~ firm
or corporation of a violation hereof such person, firm or cor-
poration shell be punished by a fine not to exceed the sum of
Five Hundred ($500.00) Dollars or imprisonment for a oeriod of
not more than Thirty (30) days in the City Jail or by both
such fine and imorisonmen~.
Section ~. ~ll ordinances or parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
