AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING
CHAPTER 13, BY ADDING SECTION 13-8,
PROVIDING FOR CONSTRUCTION OF TAX FOR
SPECIFIC PROFESSIONS; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, CODIFICATION AND AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida, upon recommendation of staff, has deemed it to be in
the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City to
amend Chapter 13, to provide for construction of tax for
specific professions;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section I. That Chapter 13, Section 13-8 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Boynton Beach is hereby created by
adding the words and figures in underlined type, as follows:
Sec. 13-8. How tax construed as to specified
professions.
The tax provided in section 13-22 for
professions and occupations as set forth in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto, and which shall
be further identified by an asterisk at the
time of codification, shall be construed to
mean that the tax herein prov±ded shall b~
paid by the company or business for each
licensed individual enqaqed in tho
profession or occupation.
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
mn conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 3. Should any section or provision of this
ordinance or portion hereof, any~paragraph, sentence, or word be
declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid,
such decision shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance.
Section 4. Authority is hereby granted to codify said
ordinance.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
