DE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY C0~IEISSION ~F TB~ CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH~ PAt2~ BEACH COUNTY~ FLORIDA: SECTION I. That each year~s ~axes for the year 1939 mad years pr~r thereto may 'be redeemed on the basis of ~en per~.?ent. (10%) of the 1940 taX~s~ where th~ taxes for 1936 and/or years prior thereto ar~ unpaid. S~CTI0~ II. That the Tre~asure~ be a~ he is hereby authorized a~ instructed ~o se!l, assi~ a~ transfer tax sale certificates held by the City~ on tb.e basis as provided in Section i hereof, and in the event such certificate or certificates be redeemed by the owner or owners of the property covered by such certificate or certificates, the purchaser or purchasers of said certificate or certificates shall 0nly be entitled to ti~e smount actually paid to tho City for such certificate or certificate~ a~ accrued taxss paid by him, her or it~ olus inte_es~ at the rate of Eight per cent~ (8~) per annum. SECTION Iii. That for the purpose of ~quitab!y adjusting special assess- ments, the Tax Collector is hereby authorized m~d instructed to accept paymont of special assessments at the rate of twenty-five per cent~ (25~) of the original assessment, and further, tb~t past due obligations of the City may be accepted in therefor; Maiving all accrue~ interest until October 31~ 1943. SECTION IV. That the Tax Collector be a~ he is hereby authorized to rsfig~re, in 'accordance with Section IIi hereof, special assess- ments heretofore paid, upon written application by property embers made within ninety days (90) of the passage of this Or~ dinance~ allowing full credit for cash payments a~%d fifty per cent. (50%) for payments heretofore made ~th bond credits.' Such rebates may he applied by such property owners upon other special assessments or taxes due or to become due upon property ow~ned by him her or it, but such credits shall not be assigned or transferred to any other person, firm partnership or corporation.
