WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach, Florid
has elected to create a Community Relations Board and has appointed
members to said Board; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed essential that guidelines be established
for the purpose and function of said Board;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CO~CIL OF THE CITY
OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That the City of Boynton Beach, Florida Com-
munity Relations Board is hereby created and established, which
Committee shall consist of as many members as the City Council may
from time to time, in its discretion, appoint with said appointed
committee members to serve at the pleasure of the City Council.
As soon as possible after the appointment of said committee mem-
bers, the members shall meet, organize and elect one (1) of their
members Chairman, and another of their members as Secretary to
serve for such ~erms as the committee shall determine.
Section 2: The purpose of said committee shall be to conduct
a continuing investigation into problems confronting the municipal~
and recommending to the City Council action to alleviate or control
such problems and, in general, to provide citizen input to the
elected members of the City Council for the purpose of effecting
improvement of the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of
said municipality.
Section 3: Said Community Relations Board shall meet at the
call of the Chairman, or any three (3) members thereof to under-
take any matters deemed essential for consideration by the Board,
and the committee may make formal recommendations to the City
Council after thorough investigation and consideration of any
such matters.
