77-TRESOLUTION NO. 77-7~
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH, FLORIDA, ABOLISHING THE POSITION OF MUNICIPAL
FINANCE DIRECTOR.
WHEREAS, the position of Municipal Finance Director of the
.City of Boynton Beach, Florida has been vacant for approximately
the past five (5) weeks, and
WHEREAS, the remaining personnel in the municipal finance
department have been able to effectively assimilate the duties
previously performed by the Municipal Finance Director, and
WHEREAS, after reviewing the situation, the City Manager has
concluded that it would be feasible to abolish the position of
Municipal Finance Director, and that the abolishment of such offic
would result in a savings to the tax payers of the City of
approximately $22,000.00 per year, and based thereon, the City
Manager has recommended to the City Council that such office be
abolished.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYI~TON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That pursuant to the provisions of Section 23 of
the Codified Charter of the City of BoYnton Beach, Florida, and
based upon the findings and recommendation contained hereinabove,
the position of Municipal Finance Director of the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida, be and the same is hereby abolished.
