77-ERESOLUTION NO. 77- E
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
DESIGNATING COMPOSITION AND TERMS OF BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF EMPLOYEES' PENSION PLAN OF THE CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, Section 21-25 of Article IV, Chapter 21 of the codified
Ordinances of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, provides that the "Board
of Trustees, "Board" or "Trustees", shall be construed to mean the member
of the City Council unless the City Council, by resolution, designates
or substitute individuals to perform the duties and functions of such Board of
Trustees; and
WHERE~4S, the City Council desires to alter the composition of the
membership and terms of said Board of Trustees:
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City
of Boynton Beach, Florida:
Section 1: That Resolution No. 76-PP, enacted by the City Council on
July 20, 1976, is hereby rescinded.
Se..ction 2: That the composition and terms of the Board of Trustees of
the Employees' Pension Plan of the City of Boynton Beach are hereby estab-
lished as follows: The Mayor of the City, who shall serve as a member and
Chairman of said Board for so long as he shall hold said position; the City
Manager who shall serve as a member for so long as he shall hold said posi-
tion; two (2) individual citizens who shall be appointed by the City Council to
serve at the pleasure of the City Council; one (1) member of the Board shall bE
a City employee elected annually by all City employees who are members of
the Municipal Pension Plan. The incumbent employee member shall serve
until the anniversary date of his election, at which time the ~qewly'elected em-
ployee representative shall take office for a period of one (1) year.
Section 3: This Resolution shall take effect immediately.
