A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF CIVIL SERVICE
BY PROVIDING FOR ADDITIONAL AND REVISED CLASSIFICATIONS
OF POSITIONS AND THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF
SUCH POSITIONS AND FURTHER PROVIDING FOR ~4ENDMENTS
TO THE PAY SCALE OF SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Charter of the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida, the Municipal Personnel Officer has heretofore
recommended certain amendments to the current Rules and Regula-
tions of Civil Service of the said City to provide additional
and revised classifications of positions, together with the
duties and responsibilities of such positions, copies of which
proposed amendments are attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, said recommended amendments include the additional
positions of Programmer and Lift Station Maintenanceman Foreman,
for which the said Municipal Personnel Officer has recommended
the pay grades of 26 and 25~ respectively; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has reviewed said proposed
amendments and has approved them without modification; and
WHEREAS, after thorough review of such proposed amendments,
the City Council deems that the enactment and adoption of same
is in the best interests of efficient administration of the
municipal personnel system.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1: The proposed amendments to the currently
existing Rules and Regulations of Civil Service of the City of
Boynton Beach, Florida, providing for additional and revised
classifications of positions, together with the duties and
responsibilities of such positions, as attached hereto and
hereby made a part hereof, be and the same are hereby approved,
ratified and adopted.
Section 2: The pay plan for the municipal employees of
the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, be and is hereby amended by
adding thereto the pay grade of 26 for the additional position
of Programmer and the pay grade of 25 for the additional
position of Lift Station Maintenanceman Foreman.
Section 3: In all other respects subject Rules and
Regulations of Civil Service are hereby ratified and confirmed
as heretofore adopted and amended.
Section 4: This Resolution shall be implemented and
become effective on the /~day of ~ , 1975.
