A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL CITY OF BOYNTON,
BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE CREATION OF THE EMPLOYEE
POSITION OF SECRETARY-BOOKKEEPING CLERK FOR THE SOUTH
CENTRAL REGIONAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT AND DISPOSAL
BOARD TOGETHER WITH A PAY SCALE THEREFOR.
WHEREAS, the creation of employee positions for the South
Central Regional Wastewater Treatment and Disposal Board is
subject to the approval by a majority vote of the City Council
of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the said Board has created the employee position
of Secretary-Bookkeeping Clerk with a pay scale of $3.50 per
hour minimum to $5.00 per hour maximum, subject to the approval
of the City Council of said City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That the creation by the South Central Regional
Wastewater Treatment and Disposal Board of the employee position
of Secretary-Bookkeeping Clerk be and is hereby approved.
Section 2: That the pay scale of the newly created position
of Secretary-Bookkeeping Clerk at the rate of $3.50 per hour
minimum to $5.00 per hour maximum be and is hereby approved.
Section 3: This Resolution shall take effect immediately.

OF.WORK IN THIS
This is supervisory work in waste~rater treatment plant or pumping
stations in the ~ maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and systems.
The employee in this c~ass is responsible for the .technical aspects..
of all equipment installaticas, repair and preventive maintenance. The
employee supervises and instructs mechanics and/or Lift Station Maintenance-
men of lesser rank in the daily work routine to include use of shop tools
and maintenance procedures. The employee will prepare work schedules and
assign work crews as maintenance requires. Instructions are received
oral]3~ or in writing from a supervisor and the employee is expected to
work with relative independence, in carrying out the instructions.. Work
. is subject to inspection by the maintenance supervisor'while in progress or
upon completion.

Regularly inspects all mechanical equipment, evalutes performance
and makes recommendations to the supervisor as to maintenance and repair

Knowledge of the principles, practices and equipment of modern
wastewater treatment and .pump~_~g stations.
Knowledge of the operations, types of defects and repair methods
applicable to pumps, chloriuators, feed and other plant equipment.
Knowledge of occupational hazards and necessary safety precautions
applicable to mech~anical maintenance and repair work. . - '
Ability to supervise a substantial number of employees of lesse~ ran~
effectively; ability to maintain detailed records and make reports; ability
to establish and maintaiu effective working relationships with employees.
Some knowledge of basic electricity principles~ hydraulic and
pne~t~tic systems, welding and elementary drafting and blueprint reading.
QUAL!FICATIONS
Increasingly respmmsibte experience at the journey~_._an-level,-, in
mechanical maintenance and repair work as pertains to the operatica of
wastewater treatment plants and p,mmping stations including' supervisory
responsibility and graduation from a standard high school or trade school,
supplemented by applicable trade co~ses or an equivalent combination of
tra~n~ug and experience.
