A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, EXPRESSING APPRECIATION
TO PAUL H. STARTZMAN FOR HIS SERVICE TO SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, Paul H. Startzman has served the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida, in numerous voluntary and advisory capacities
for many years during which time he has exhibited and
demonstrated his great love and loyalty to the City by render-
ing invaluable service to the City with countless hours of his
time, talents, guidance and~expertise without compensation
except for nominal reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses;
and
WHEREAS, for many years Mr. Startzman served as a member
of the Advisory Board to the City Council, rendering invaluable
assistance with regard to the planning and creation of a
municipal library, the sewer and water plants, numerous railroad
crossings, and many other important municipal projects; and
WHEREAS, on January 7, 1974, by Resolution No. 74-A,
Mr. Startzman was appointed to serve as the liaison for the
said City with regard to consideration, nego.tiation, planning
and other investigative efforts with the City of Delray Beach,
Florida, and other neighboring municipalities in pursuit of
the establishment of a regional wastewater treatment and
disposal facilitity, and in the performance of such liaison,
Mr. Startzman exhibited untiring foresight, patience, indus-
triousness and expertise in guiding the City to the creation of
an interlocal authority under which the said City has attained
a position of equal footing with the City of Delray Beach,
rather than a position of mere tenancy thereunder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYHTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida, hereby expresses its deep gratitude and
appreciation to Paul H. Startzman for his outstanding and
immeasurable contributions of time and talents for the
betterment of the City of Boynton Beach during the City's
critical periods of growth and development.
Section 2: That a certified copy of this Resolution be
furnished forthwith to the said Paul H. Startzman.
