A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
ELIMINATING THE EMERGENCY FUND AND CREATING A
RESERVE FOR EMERGENCIES IN THE GENERAL FUND.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida, at its regular meeting on November 21, 1972,
authorized the consolidation of the following three funds, to wit:
Account No. 102 - Working Capital
Account No. 107 - Disaster Fund
Account No. 109 - Self Insurance

into one fund to be known as "Emergency Fund" with a total
balance of $60,339.08; and
WHEREAS, the Finance Director of said City has recom-
mended that the said Emergency Fund, having a present balance
of $ 30,425.40 , be eliminated and that the balance remaining in
said Emergency Fund be transferred to the General Fund and
retained for emergency purposes by creating a Reserve for
Emergencies in the General Fund; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager of said City has concurred in
and approved of such proposed action; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of said'City de~ms-~the
foregoing recommendations to be in the best~intereSts off.the
city ~and for .the efficient'daily operabion of the municipal
government.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1: There is hereby created a Reserve for
Emergencies to be established in the General Fund of the City
of Boynton Beach, Florida.
Section 2: The Emergency Fund of the said City, having
the present balance of $30,425.40, be and is hereby eliminated,
and the said balance remaining in the said Emergency Fund be and
is hereby transferred to the General Fund of said City and
retained therein for emergency purposes in said "Reserve for
Emergencies" in said General Fund of said City.
