A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
RECOMMENDING TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, A PROPOSED PARKING PLAN
FOR THE COUNTY OWNED LAND ADJACENT TO THE CITY'S
MUNICIPAL PUBLIC BEACH.
WHEREAS, there is a dire need for additional motor
vehicular parking facilities in the vicinity of the municipal
public beach of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Palm Beach
County, Florida, have acquired a large tract of land adjacent
to the City's municipal public beach for the benefit of the
public, the use of which necessitates additional motor
vehicular parking facilities and means for ingress and egress;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida, is desirous of cooperating with the Board of County
Commissioners in meeting the ever-growing need for such
additional parking facilities and ingress and egress in con-
junction therewith and, pursuant thereto, the said City has
prepared a proposed plan for such parking and ingress and egress.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That the Board of County Commissioners of
Palm Beach County, Florida, be and is hereby requested to
construct facilities for motor vehicular parking upon its land
adjacent to and contiguous to the north of the municipal public
beach of the City of Boynton Beach, together with means of
ingress and egress in conjunction therewith, as set forth on
the copy of the plan attached hereto and made a part hereof,
marked "Exhibit A".
Section 2: That the City Council of said City hereby
recommends to the Board of County Commissioners of Palm Beach
County that the proposed plan as set forth in "Exhibit A",
attached hereto and made a part hereof, be utilized in providing
the requested parking facilities.
'Section '3:' That a true and certified copy of this
Resolution be furnished forthwith to the Board of County
Commissioners of Palm Beach County, Florida.
