75-AAP~SOLUTION NO. 75-AA WHEREAS, .a shortage of rainfall has created an emergency situation with regard to the availability of potable water for the inhabitants of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, and in view thereof, the City Council of said City deems it essential and necessary to make arrangements to acquire additional potable water from the City of Delray Beach, Florida, and the City of Delray Beach has expressed their willingness to make said water available to the City of Boynton Beach for the use of the said City's inhabitants} NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1: The City of Boynton Beach, Florida, shall enter into an agreement with the City of Delray Beach, Florida, for the acquisition of potable water from the City of Delray Beach for which the City of Boynton Beach shall pay to the City of Delray Beach the same rates as are charged by the City of Delray Beach to other users outside of the City of Delray Beach. Section 2: The City Manager of the City of Boynton Beach is hereby authorized to enter into such arrangements with the City of Delray Beach as shall be necessary to implement the acquisition of such amounts of potable water from the City of Delray Beach as shall be necessary to satisfy said emergent needs of the City of Boynton Beach.
