75-PRESOLUTI'ONNO.' 7'5'-'~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, RECOMMENDING TO THE FLORIDA BOARD OF BUILDING CODES AND STANDARDS THAT THE BOARD MAKE CERTAIN PROPOSALS TO THE STATE LEGISLATURE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, deems it to be in the best interests of the community and for the general welfare of the inhabitants of said City, that building codes be adopted for the State of Florida as hereinafter provided; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, recommends to the Florida Board of Building Codes and Standards that a minimum building code be adopted for the State of Florida; that a model code as the minimum building code be adopted; that the minimum model building code be the Standard Building Codes (formerly the Southern Standard Building Codes); and that the building code thereby adopted endorse the concept that the building code require only a local, rather than a State, Building Board of Adjustments and Appeals. Section 2: That a true and certified copy of this Resolution be furnished forthwith to the Florida Board of Building Codes and Standards and to all other appropriate authorities.
