75-ORESOLUTION NO. 75- O A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, RECOGNIZING ~THE ASSESSMENT OF NEEDS AS FORMULATED BY THE CITIZENS OF BOYNTON BEACH. WHEREASa the City CounCil of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida~ has agreed to comply with the objectives and eligible activities required and approved by the 1974 Housing and Community Development Ac%, and WHEREAS, the City Council of said City has witnessed and/or studied the minutes of two Public Forums held on March 6 and March 13, 1975. Said Public Forums were held to disseminate information on said 1974 Housing and Community Development Act and to collect and record a priority listing of an Assessment of Needs as generated by Citizens living in areas needing urban renewal. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, that the following listing of Assessment of Needs has been presented at said March 13, 1975 Public Forum by said Citizens of Boynton Beach residing in areas needing urban renewal. 0 Stricter Code Enforcement in deteriorating areas. Clearance, demolition and rehabilitation of buildings. Low interest loans to rehabilitate housing. Payments for temporary housing of persons displaced by Community Development activities. 5. N.W. 2nd St. and 2nd Ave. to N.W. 6th Ave., extension of N.W. 3rd St. from N.W. 8th Ave. to Boynton Canal. Upgrade where there are lights and install where there are no lights; the new lighting system, such as vapor lighting. Twenty-four (24) hour Day Care Center. Crosslights for the safety of pedestrians and bicycle riders. Bicycle paths. Economic counseling and expertise is needed for low income families on how to manage.
