A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, SUPPORTING THE PRO-
POSITION THAT DELTA AIR LINES, INC. BE PER-
~iT~ED TO PROCEED WITH CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW
PASSENGER TERMINAL AT PALM BEACH INTERNATIONAL
AIRPORT: AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES,
WHEREAS, Delta Air Lines is a commercial airline opera-
tor carrying passengers to and from Palm Beach International
Airport, and
WHEREAS, the air passenger traffic at Palm Beach Inter-
national Airport has increased over the last several years and
continues to grow, and
WHEREAS, Delta's current facilities are inadequate to
sustain such passenger traffic increases or to provide appro-
priate amenities for current traffic volumes, and
WHEREAS, Delta wishes to construct a new passenger
terminal at the Airport to serve its Palm Beach passengers in
a more comfortable and convenient manner, 'and
WHEREAS, such new terminal constkuction would be accom-
plished by Delta at its sole expense without any financial bur-
den on the County or the County Taxpayers, and
WHEREAS, such larger aircraft ~can accommodate increasinc
passenger loads without adding additional flight schedules, and
WHEREAS, such larger aircraft meet standards for a
quieter environment, and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the Citizens of
Boynton Beach that Delta Air Lines be permitted to proceed with
the construction of the new passenger terminal
NOW, THEREFORE, BE AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:

Section 1: That the City of Boynton Beach believes it
to be in the best interests of the Citizens of Boynton Beach
that Delta Air Lines be permitted to proceed with the construc-
tion of the new passenger terminal at Palm Beach International
Airport.
Section 2: That the City Clerk is hereby authorized
and directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to
the Board of County Commissioners of Palm Beach County, Robert
F. Culpepper, Chairman.
Section 3: That this resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its passage.
