A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON HEACH, FLORIDA,
RECOMMENDING TO THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF PALM BEACH COUNTY A FIVE-YEAR PLAN FOR THE FOUR
LANING AND GENERAL IMPROVEMENT OF SEACREST BOULEVARD
IN ITS ENTIRETY THROUGHOUT SAID CITY.
WHERF~S, the increased growth of the area and the resultant
heavy motor vehicle traffic upon the North-South thoroughfares
throughout the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, has created
hazardous and congested conditions upon Seaorest Boulevard as a
principal two-lane North-South roadway', thereby, creating a very
grave need for a major North-South arterial roadway in addition
to U. S. Highway No. 1; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Boynton Beach deems it neces-
sary and urgent that Seacrest Boulevard be improved by Palm
Beach County by making said thoroughfare a four-lane divided
roadway with a median strip and by providing gutters, curbs, and
sidewalks throughout its length within the said City;
NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That the Board of County Commissioners of Palm
Beach County, Florida, be and it is hereby requested to take
immediate action to initiate a five-year improvement plan to
provide for the improvement of Seacrest Boulevard throughout the
City of Boynton Beach, Florida, by making the said Seacrest
Boulevard a four-lane divided highway with a median strip and by
providing gutters, curbs and sidewalks for the entire length of
Seacrest Boulevard through the City of Boynton. Beach, and that
such improvements be commenced at the earliest possible time.

Resolution be furnished forthwith to the Board of County
Commissioners.
