A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH~
FLORIDA~, APPOINTING FLORENCE SULLIVAN AS AN
HONORARY MEMBER OF THE LIBRARY BOARD OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH.
W-HEREAS~ a Library Board was created and established in
1961 by the City Council of the Cityof~Boynton Beach~ Florida~
to meet the needs of the inhabitants and citizens of the City
of Boynton Beach~ Florida; and
WHEREAS, Florence Sullivan was appointed by the City Council
of the said City to serve .as the first librarian~ in which
capacity she served for many years during which time she contri-
buted unfailingly to the cultural and literary growth and
development of the library activities of the City of B~oynton
Beach; and
WPEREAS, although Florence Sullivan is no longer serving as
the librarian~ the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach
deems it fitting and appropriate that official note be taken of
the outstanding benefits derived by the library from the past
and continuing contributions of Florence Sullivan;
NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH~ FLORIDA:
NO. 1. That the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach
hereby expresses its deep gratitude and appreciation to Florence
Sullivan for her outstanding contributions to the activities of
the library of said City during her many years of service as the
first librarian.
No. 2. That Florence Sullivan is hereby appointed as an
honorary member of the Library Board of the City of Boynton
Beach~ Florida.
No. 3. That a certified copy of this Resolution be fur-
nished to Florence Sullivan of 106 Southeast Sixth Avenue~
Boynton Beach~ Florida.
