~tEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida, pursuant to the Charter of said City, deems it necessary
for the public intereSt that the~ sanitary sewer- on Northeast 7th
Avenue be extended to the intersection of Northeast 7th Avenue
and Northeast 7th Street in said City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of said City heretofore by Resolu-
tion according to law required the City Engineer to prepare an
estimated cost of such improvements and to prepare plans and
specifications covering the construction of same; and
WHEREAS, said City Engineer has completed such requirements
and said plans and specifications are now on file in his office;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the sanitary sewer on Northeast 7th Avenue in said
City be extended a distance of approximately 725 feet to the
intersection of said Northeast 7th Avenue and Northeast 7th
Street in said City in accordance with plans and specifications
as required by law of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, now on
file in the office of the City Engineer.
2. ~ne total estimated cost of the proposed improvement
is $24,610.00, and the total amount of the cost of the said
improvement shall be borne by the abutting property owners by
special assessments.
3. Each abutting property owner along the above proposed
improvement shall be assessed on a front footage basis charging
said owner his proportionate share as divided by the total
improvement cost. A preliminary assessment roll showing the lots
and lands assessed to pay the cost of said improvement and the
front footage thereof is attached hereto and hereby made a part
hereof and marked Exhibit A.
Any such assessment may be paid within 90 days from the date of
confirmation thereof without interest. Thereafter, all assess-
ments shall be payable in three equal consecutive annual install-
ments, together with interest at the rate of 8% per annum from
the expiration of the said 90 days in each of the succeeding
years at the time or times in each year at which general municipal
taxes are payable provided that any assessment may be paid at 'any
time' before due, together with interest accrued thereon to the
date of payment.
4. The City Council will sit for the purpose of hearing ob-
jections, if any~ to the above proposed improvement the 6th day
of November, 1973, at the hour of 8:00 P.M., at the Boynton
Beach City Hall, Boynton Beach, Florida.
