73-SSRESOLUTION NO_ 73 - ~ ~
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY .OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDAI
AMENDING SECTION 14 OF RULE VI .OF THE RULES AND
REGULATIONS OF CIVIL SERVICE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Charter of the City of Boynton
Beacht Florida, the Municipal Personnel Officer has heretofore
recommended that Section 14 of Rule VI of the Rules and Regu-
lations of Civil Service of the said City be '.amended by adding
certain provisions 'as hereinafter stated regarding recommenda-
tions as to merit increases for Department heads; and
WHEREAS~ the City M~nager has reviewed said proposed
amendment-and has approved same without modification; and
WHEREAS~ after thorough review of such proposed amend-
ment, the City Council deems that the enactment and adoption
of same is in the best interests of efficient administration
of the municipal personnel system;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section !: That Section 14, entitled "Merit Increases
in Salary"~ of Rule VI,~ entitled "Compensation Plan"~ of the
Rules and Regulations of Civil Service of the City of Boynton
Beacht Florida~ be and is hereby, amended by adding the following
language:
"The City Manager shall recommend to the City
Council in writing all merit increases in salary
relative to Department Heads."
Section _2: That in all other respects the said Rules
and Regulations of Civil ServiCe of the said City are hereby
ratified and confirmed as heretofore adopted and amended.
