A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE ALTERNATE BID OF LAUDERDALE CONTRACT-
ING CORPORATION FOR SANITARY SEWER EXTENSIONS, PROJECT NO.
6858-8m, DHUD PROJECT NO. WS-Fla-281, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF
$1,245,079.30, SUBJECT TO THE APPROVAL OF THE DEPAIITMENT OF
HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT AND PROVIDING WHEN THIS RESOLUTION
SHALL TAKE EFFECT.
WHEREAS, bids were duly called for, advertised, and opened on De-
cember 11, 1972, in the manner prescribed by Charter of the City of
Boynton Beach, Florida, for Sanitary Sewer Extensions, Project No.
6858-8m~ DHIID Project No. WS-Pla-281 and,
WHEREAS, bids were received as per the schedule which is attached
hereto and, by reference, made a part hereof and,
WHEREAS~ the Acting City Manager has approved the expenditure here-
in provided and recommends tentative award of this contract, subject to
DHUD concurrence, and,
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has certified that there are sufficient
funds on deposit for Sanitary Sewer Extensions, Project No. 6858-8m,
DHUD Project No. WS-Fla-281,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. The City Council finds that the lowest and best bid
submitted by a responsible bidder, which does not exceed the estimate
for said project, is the alternate bid o£

SECTION 2. The aforesaid bid is hereby accepted subject to the
approval of the Department of Housing and Urban Development and is
subject to the terms and conditions of the bid documents.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk hereby certifies that sufficient funds
are available for said project.
SECTION 4. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to
execute an appropriate contract and/or such documents as may be required
SECTION 5. The City Clerk is authorized to return the bid security
of all unsuccessful bidders with the exception of the three lowest
bidders, in accordance with the terms of the bid documents.
SECTION 6. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
