WHEREAS,
WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, will receive
certain funds from the Government of the United States of
to the State and Local Fiscal Assistance Act
all funds to be received by the City pursuant
to said Act must be deposited directly into a special trust
account to be established for such purpose;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That the City Treasurer is hereby authorized
to open with a commercial bank located in the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida, a checking account to be known as "City of
Boynton Beach - Federal Revenue Sharing Funds" for the purpose
of depositing therein all funds received from the United States
Treasury Department pursuant to the said State and Local Fiscal
Assistance Act of 1972.
Section 2: That all checks issued on the above named
checking account shall be prepared and signed by the City
Treasurer, B. J. LAW, or in the absence of the City Treasurer,
by the Deputy Treasurer, M. C. HOLZMAN, and such checks shall
be countersigned by the Mayor, EMILY M. JACF~SON, or in the
absence of the Mayor, by the Vice Mayor, JOE DeLONG.
Section 3: That the City Clerk be and she is hereby
instructed to forward a certified copy of this resolution
to the commercial bank in which said checking account shall
be opened.
Section 4: This resolution shall take effect immediately
upon its passage.
