73-BRESOLUTION NO. 73-B WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, is authorized to invest any of its surplus municipal funds in negotiable direct obligations which are unconditionally guaranteed by the United States government, including United States Treasury Bills and United States Treasury Notes, and certain procedures are desir- able for facilitating the purchase and the sale thereof; and WHEREAS, LARRY ARTZ has been appointed as City Finance Director and B. J. LAW is the duly appointed City Treasurer and either of them is authorized to execute written orders for the purchase and the sale of such United States Treasury Bills and United States Treasury Notes, which written orders are to be countersigned by the Mayor or, in the absence of the Mayor, the Vice Mayor; and WHEREAS, EMILY M. JACKSON is the duly elected Mayor and shall countersign all such written orders for the purchase and the sale of United States Treasury Bills and United States Treasury Notes; and WHEREAS, JOE DeLONG, as Vice Mayor, shall countersign all such written orders in the absence of the Mayor; NO~TPIEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that a true copy of this Resolution be sent to all commercial banks and other institutions through which the City of Boynton Beach shall purchase and sell such United States Treasury Bills and United States Treasury NoteS.
