72-CCRESOLUTION NO. 72 ~ CC
WHEREAS, Florida Statute 167.74 requires Florida
Municipalities to place all securities in a safety deposit box with a
nationally or state chartered commercial bank, and
WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, is
desirous of complying with said Statute,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
That City Finance Director, Larry Artz, and City
Treasurer, Betty Law, be, and they are hereby authorized to enter
into a lease agreement or lease agreements with the First Bank and
Trust, Boynton Beach, Florida, covering necessary safety deposit
box or boxes required to place all securities held by the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida in safekeeping with said institution, and said officials
are hereby authorized and designated as the authorized personnel for
the purpose of placing and withdrawing all such securities in safekeeping
with said institution.
