72-ZRESOLUTION NO. 72 - Z
WHEREAS, the Personnel Officer of the City of Boynton
Beach, Florida, has heretofore recommended to the City Manager a
certain proposed amendment to the existing Civil Service Rules and
Regulations of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has considered said recom-
mendation and has further recommended to the City Council adoption of
said amendment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
1. That that portion of Paragraph 3 of Section 3, Rule
XI of the existing Civil Services Rules and Regulations of the City of
Boynton Beach, Florida, pertaining to vacation leave, which states:
"For purposes of vacation leave uniformed members
of the Fire Department shall receive the equivalent of
five (5) twenty four hour shifts,"
be and the same is hereby amended to read:
For purposes of vacation leave each shift member of
the Fire Department shall receive the equivalent of six
(6) shift days per year vacation. Each shift member of
the Fire Department shall earn one (1) shift day additional
vacation for each four years of continuous service but no
additional credit shall be earned after his sixteenth (16th)
year of service.
In all other respect subject Civil Service Rules and Regulations are hereby
ratified and adopted.
