72-SRESOLUTION NO. 72 - ~
WHEREAS, the owner of Block 12, Amended Plat of Boynton
Ridge, Plat Book 24, Page 28, Public Records of Palm Beach County,
Florida, has petitioned the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida, for adoption of resolution vacating and abandoning certain
dedicated rights-of-way presently abutting said East, North and West sides
of subject parcel; and
WHEREAS, subject request has heretofore been considered by
the Planning and Zoning Board of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, and
a favorable recommendation rendered in connection therewith; and
WHEREAS, all affected public utilities have been contacted for
their recommendations in connection with said request, which are now on
file with the office of the City Manager of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida;
and
WHEREAS, with the exception of the North 12 feet of subject
area requested to be abandoned, said request is deemed to be reasonable
and in the best interest of the inhabitants of the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida;
NOW, TttEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That those portions of publicly dedicated rights-of-way
abutting the North, East and West sides of Block 12, Amended Plat of
Boynton Ridge, Plat Book 24, Page 28, Public Records of Palm Beach
County, Florida, with the exception of the North 12 feet thereof, all as more
particularly shown on plat of subject area attached hereto and hereby made a
part hereof, are hereby vacated, abandoned and subject areas are hereby
returned to acreage for purposes of taxation.
