72-PRESOLUTION NO. 72 - ]~ WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, has heretofore determined that conditions existing upon Lot 3, Block 9, Happy Home Heights (332 Northeast 12th Avenue), City of Boynton Beach, Florida, constituted hazardous conditions in need of abatement in order to preserve the health, safety and welfare of the residents of the City of Boynton Beachj Florida; and WHEREAS, after due notice to the record owner of subject parcel of the above described conditions, and after conduct of public hearing relative the City's intention to abate subject nuisance at the cost of the owner, the owner failed to respond to said request of the City to abate subject hazardous conditions; and WHEREAS, the City has proceeded to abate subject conditions 'at a total expense of $500.00; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA: That pursuant to the Charter of said Municipality a nuisance abatement lien is hereby declared to be held by said City against Lot 3, Block 9, Happy Home Heights, Plat Book [ I , Page ~O , Public Records of Palm Beach County, for expenses incurred in connection with abatement and correction of hazardous conditions previously existing on said parcel in the amount of $500.00. Further that the owner of said parcel is hereby given a period of thirty (30) days within which to pay said lien and failing to do so, interest shall accrue upon said lien at the rate of 8% per annum, commencing on the date of this Resolution. Further in the event of owner's default in the payment of said lien, the City Attorney is hereby authorized to proceed with foreclosure of said lien against subject property.
