72-HRESOLUTION NO. 72 - ~
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida, deems it essential that a formal policy be established with regard
to access to personnel records of City employees;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of
Boynton Beach, Florida, adopts the following policy:
Section 1. Thai individual personnel records of employees of
the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, shall be open to inspection only by
persons who can show good reason or cause why they are entitled to such
information; but may be made available to administrative officials of the
City in connection with the performance of their duties. No public dis-
closure of information from such records shall be made except with the
approval of the Civil Service Board and the City
a determination that such disclosure is in the public interest.
