WHEREAS,
Dr. Nathaniel Marion Weems, Sr. did depart his native State
of Alabama to establish residence in the State of Florida on
November 7, 1925, and
Dr. Weems did immediately thereafter begin a long and dis-
tinguished career as a leading physician in this area. A
career spanning over forty-six (46) years, that included
delivery of over 7,500 new citizens to this community and
Dr. Weems did devote much time, effort and energy to the
betterment of this Community, by association with numerous
civic organizations, including the Rotary Club, as well as
service as Vice Mayor of the City of Boynton Beach and
the Citizens of Boynton Beach wish to formally recognize and
honor this distinguished citizen and his many contributions,
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that the new Police Complex shall be
dedicated in honor of this fine citizen, and the ground break-
ing ceremony shall be designated as "PAPA DOC WEEMS
DAY"
