71-OORESOLUTION NO. 71
~VHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida, in conjunction with the Municipal Planning Board, has for approxi-
mately the past eighteen months been in the process of adopting a revised
master plan, zoning map and zoning ordinance, to provide for the future
development of the City, and
~VHEREAS, an integral part of subject plan and zoning ordinance
will provide for a building height limitation of 45 feet, and
WHEREAS, an advertised public hearing before the City Council
has been scheduled for Tuesday, November 23, 1971, for the purpose of
~mplementing an amendment to the existing Zoning Code of the City to provide
for adoption of the above building height limitation, and
W~rtEREAS, the issuance of building permits authorizing erection
of any buildings within the City in excess of subject height limitation prior to
the effective date of the formal adoption of subject Zoning Code amendment is
deemed detrimental to the best interests of the inhabitants of the City of
Boynton Beach, Florida;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
That the Building Official of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida,
be and he is hereby directed to refrain from issuance of any building permit
now pending or hereafter filed in his office for the construction of any
building exceeding 45 feet in height until the above-referred to public hearing
has been held, and thereafter in the event the City Council formally adopts an
ordinance amendment establishing subject 45 foot building height limitation.
