71-KKRESOLUTION NO. 71-~ WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida pursuant to the Charter of said City, deems it necessary for the public interest that the public streets of said City, more particularly described hereinafter, be improved by being constructed, repaired, resurfaced and/ or rebuilt; and WHEREAS, the City Council of said City heretofore, by Resolution, according to law, required the Director of Public Works to prepare an estimated cost of such improvements aN] to prepare plans and specifications covering the construction of same; and WHEREAS, the said Director of Public Works has completed such requirements, and said plans and specifications are now on file in his office, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows: 1. That the public streets hereinafter described shall be constructed and/or rebuilt over the publicly dedicated right-of-way thereof, in accordance with plans and specifications as required by laws of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, now on file in the office of the Director of Public Works, said streets being more particularly described as follows: That portion of S. E. 26th Avenue lying between S. E. 1st Street and Seacrest Boulevard; Amount of project to be borne by abutting property owners through special assessments Estimated No. Ft. Estimated Cost 970 $11,640.00 Amount of project to be borne by City 0 TOTAL: 970 $11, 640.00 2. The City Council will sit for the purpose of hearing objections, if any, to the above proposed improvements the ~__~ day of ~c9~~ , 1971, at the hour of 7:45 o'clock P.M., at the Boynton Beach City Hall, Boynton Beach, Florida. 3. Each abutting property owner along the above proposed improvements shall be assessed on a front footage basis, charging said owner his proportionate share as divided by the total improvement cost. Any such assessment may be paid within ninety (90) days from the date of confirmation thereof, without interest. Thereafter, all assessments shall be payable in three (3) equal consecutive annual installments, together with interest at the rate of eight (8%) per cent per annum, from the expiration of the said ninety (90) days, in each of the succeeding years at the time or times in each year at which general municipal taxes are payable, provided that any assessment may be paid at any time before due, together with interest accrued thereon to the date of payment.
