A Resolution of the City Council of the CITY OF BOYNTON
FLORIDA, establishing and organizing a municipal Civil Defense
General Laws of
WHEREAS, it has been found and determined by the City Council

of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, that public welfare and
necessity demand that a local organization for civil defense be formed; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 252, General Laws of Florida, authorizes the
governing body of municipalities in the State of Florida to constitute them-
selves as a local civil defense council;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it and it is hereby Resolved by the City
Council of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. There is hereby authorized and established a Civil
Defense Council for the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA; said
council shall be known as the BOYNTON BEACH CIVIL DEFENSE COUNCIL
and its membership shall be composed of the members of the City Council
of such ~ity.
SECTION 2. The said BOYNTON BEACH CIVIL DEFENSE
COUNCIL shall be and is hereby empowered to do all such things as it shall
deem necessary to the promotion of civil defense in said city and which are
authorized by Chapter 252, General Laws of Florida, with regard to
municipal civil defense councils.
SECTION 3. Fire Chief, Curtis Eugene Wright, be and he is
hereby appointed director of the BOYNTON BEACH CIVIL DEFENSE
COUNCIL, subject to the overall supervision and direction of such council,
