71-CCRESOLUTION NO. 7 1- CC
WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach, Florida presently owns and
operates a certain municipal public beach facility located within the municipal
limits of the Town of Ocean Ridge, Florida, and,
WHEREAS, ii is considered in the best interests of the inhabitants of
both municipalities that subject facility be maintained to the highest s esthetic
degree and operated in the most efficient manner possible, and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida
deems it necessary to the accomplishment of the above stated purpose that the
governing bodies of the City of Boynton Beach and the Town of Ocean Ridge
cooperate to the fullest extent possible and, in an effort to indicate the good
faith on the part of the City of Boynton Beach to so proceed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
THAT the Mayor of the City of Boynton Beach, with the concurrence
and approval of the remaining members of the City Council, shall forthwith
appoint a committee for lhe purpose of investigating and preparing a plan for
the beautification and upgrading of the City's municipal beach facility located
in the Town of Ocean Ridge, which plan will include recommendations relative
creation of needed additional parking, solution of possible traffic problem~,
additional landscaping and elimination of any unsightly or other nuisance con-
ditions existing on the facility, and policing of the area in order that same will
be maintained in a clean and sanitary condition.
FURTHER, that said committee shall coordinate its research and
recommendations with a similar committee to be appointed by the Town of
Ocean Ridge and thai upon completion of said plan and approval by the City
Council, that same shall be implemented at the earliest possible date.
FURTHER, thai upon approval of said plan, that the City shall allocate
sufficient funds to implement same.
