A~iENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 37, AND
EXTENDING AND DEFINING Ti~ BODiDARiES 0F THE
SEPARATE RESIDENTAL LIHITS OR DISTRICTS FOR
NEGRO RESIDENTS ~.~FiTHIN SAID
BE IT ORDAINED by the Town Commission of the Town
of Boynton, Florida:
1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 37 be, and the
same is hereby amended to read as follo~,,~s:
That said Town does hereby establish and set apart
the land within the following described limits within
the Town of Soynton, Florida, to be hereinafter known as
"The Negro District within the Town of Boynton, Florida,"
to-wit: Co~mencing at the intersection of the ?~est line
of the right-of-way of the Florida East Coast Railroad
Company and t2~e North line of ~rden Park, addition to
the Town of ~oynton, Florida; thence lest along said
North line of Arden Park Addition, and following said
line extending '.Vest to the center line of the County
Road or Green Street, if extended North; thence North
along said center line of the bounty i{oad or Green Street,
if extended Nortl,, and follo~,~ng said center line to the
middle section line dividing the North and South halves
of Section 2~, Township 45 South of Range 43 East; thence
?:est along half section line /of\the '~¥est line of the
East half of Section 2i, thence North along said Section
line to the South bank of the Boynton Canal; thence
follov~ng the South bank of said Boynton Canal in an
Easterly direction to the !est line of the right-of-way
of the ~lorida East Coast Railroad Company; thence follow-
lng said L~est line of the ~lorida East Coast Railroad
Company's right-of-way in a Southerly direction to the
point of beginning.
The above Ordinance having been read in full at a
meeting of the Town Commission of the Town of Boynton,
~lorida, held on the 30th day of October, ~-~. D. 19~,
was adopted,, and passed at a regular meeting of said
Totem Commission held on the iSth day of November, A.D.
19~, and a copy thereof posted at the front door of
the Town Hall at Boynton, ~'lorida.
